State Housing Department participate in PIP 2012

GEORGE TOWN (March 14, 2012): The Penang Housing Department will operate a special booth during the Penang International Property Expo 2012 this weekend to enable the public to check or apply for low-cost and low-medium cost housing on the spot.

State Housing Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said the department’s staff will be on hand to provide the necessary application forms or to seek information.

“Those who have already submitted their forms can also check the status of their applications there and then,” he said.

Also featured at the site is a complete and latest list of low and low-medium cost housing in the state.

The expo at the Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) will be held from Friday to Sunday from 11am to 10pm.

The event is organised by PIP Creation Sdn Bhd and is supported by the Penang state government, Penevents Sdn Bhd and Raine & Horne, with theSun as a media partner.

It also features prominent developers who will display their new projects, as well as relevant agencies like the Penang Development Corporation, banks and online property websites.

Various talks on property investments will also be held during the three-day event, and trade visitors can participate in a hosted tour from 12noon to 2pm on Saturday.

A Mega Home Electrical and Home Fair will also be held concurrently with the expo.
